Who are we?

We are a group of Sea Kayaking enthusiasts in the Sacramento Region of California.

Our Objective:

Promote the sport of Sea Kayaking in a manner that stresses Personal Responsibility, Personal Safety, and Environmental Impact Awareness.

We encourage our members to expand their skills through certified instruction, in order to tackle more advanced paddling conditions .

Safety is a process, it is based on recognizing potentially hazardous conditions, and finding ways to at least minimize or mitigate their risk.

No person(s) or other entities are authorized to use the name of Sacramento Sea Kayakers in association with teaching paddling skills.

The two major organizations that certify Instructors for teaching paddling skills are the ACA (American Canoe Association) and the BCU (British Canoe Union).
